SCTP Bakeoff - what was done, what wasn’t
The implementations were based on version 9 of the draft.
An IPv4 setup was used in the test net.
Basic connectivity between all participants was tested (during the first day!).
Each participant performed detailed tests with a couple of other participants dealing with association setup, data transfer and fail over scenarios under different network conditions (delay, loss, packet reordering).
The final version was not tested, especially the Shutdown procedure.
The usage of IPv6 and mixed usage of IPv4 and IPv6 was not tested.
The error handling was not tested systematically.
The flow and congestion control was not (explicitly) tested.
Packet duplication in the network was not tested.
