• RFC 3154 requires IP mobility independence + support for existing protocols (Requirement 4.7 and 4.8)

  • Are these mutually contradictory?

Proposal 1A different paging protocol for each mobility protocol.

• Problem: Ignores Requirement 4.7.

• Problem: Will result in a set of specific paging protocol extensions.

• Advantage: Take advantage of mobility specifics for IP paging.

• Other pros and cons? - or: Is this a solution the WG would like to go for?
