Problem: Two nodes where a mobile host’s location information is kept, complex interactions between them (synchronization).
Problem: TA and DMA stateful entities in foreign network.
Problem: Security between mobile host and TA/DMA.
What about interaction between IP location management & L2 paging support w.r.t. availability of SAs?
- Advantage, since implicit SA enables L2 support for paging area updating.
Advantage: Enables keeping IP paging separated from mobility management.
Advantage: Allows flexible deployment of DMA function (see slides on DMA modes).
Other pros and cons? - or: Is this a solution the WG would like to go for?
