Diameter Strict Source Routing Originator Maintains a cache of host identities which enumerates the proxies/nodes to be traversed by all request of a session Cache can be statically pre-configure or dynamically discovered and used to populate the Proxy-Path AVP Proxy-Path AVP acts as a stack of host identities which enumerates nodes that needs to be traversed in a specific order When using discovery: Proxy-Path AVP in the first request of the session is populated by the originator, interested proxies and destination applications Resulting Proxy-Path AVP is carried in the first answer message and used to populate the originator cache Subsequent request message will carry a Proxy-Path AVP which mimics the contents of the cache |
