DCON elements UE: integrated client capable to offer both media streaming and conference management/monitoring functionality Such client has been actually implemented by letting the CONFIANCE BFCP-enabled version of Minisip interwork with an ad hoc modified version of an open source XMPP (Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol ) client called Spark SIP-AS: a component made of two parts: the former is the CONFIANCE enhanced version of the Asterisk MeetMe application the latter is an improved version of an Instant Messaging server called Wildfire This last entity plays a key role in the distributed scenario, since: it enables the effective management of the needed communication procedures among heterogeneous IMS Core Networks |
