Conditional Access using BPI+
Rules for CM and CMTS to provide the following
- Per-Subscriber Session Establishment (join) Authorization
- Per-Session Timed Access (e.g., ability to provide ‘pay-per-view’-like access to IP Multicast sessions)
- Prevent Denial-Of-Service Attacks
- Silently discards unauthorized Membership Reports and resulting downstream session data
- Silently discards unauthorized Leave messages to prevent resulting Group Membership Query and Reporting
