Introduction: What We Want From Syslog-Sign
Goals
- Support transmission and storage security
- Support offline review of logs; online review possible but more computationally expensive.
- Build system using only valid syslog messages; whole system in-band. (Use syslog for transport.)
- Provide some support for key management.
- Allow different signature schemes and hash functions.
