1.2 IETF Progress Report


The IESG and IETF have been quite active since the March IETF Meeting in Minneapolis: 64 Protocol Actions taken, 91 Last Calls issued, 1293 Internet-Drafts announced, and 50 RFCs published.

Between the IETF meetings in Minneapolis and Yokohama, seven working groups were formed:

1. Speech Services Control (speechsc)
2. Remote Direct Data Placement (rddp)
3. Cross Registry Information Service Protocol (crisp)
4. Packet Sampling (psamp)
5. Datagram Congestion Control Protocol (dccp)
6. Operation of the IESG/IAB Nominating and Recall Committee (nomcom)
7. Routing Protocol Security Requirements (rpsec)

And five working groups concluded:

1. Responsible Use of the Network (run)
2. SNMP Agent Extensibility (agentx)
3. Web Intermediaries (webi)
4. Blocks Extensible Exchange Protocol (beep)
5. Integrated Services over Specific Link Layers (issll)
