Relation w/ CCAMP WG Effort Why discussed now ? Because of the liaison statement ITU-T => IETF CCAMP WG where some additional considerations are listed (in particular call/connection separation and soft permanent connections) ASON to be only conceived as one of the specific architectures for which GMPLS protocol suite can be applied => Therefore this effort is to be considered as a GMPLS add-on for a specific ITU-T ASON “profile”
