Mechanisms Applicability These environments may generate the following issues with respect to LMP application: 1. Fault management (correlation and localization/isolation) for uni and bi-directional link segment failures must be enabled between non-physically adjacent LMP neighbors 2. Labels on an edge node egress interface are not necessarily structured in the same way as the ingress interface of the edge node at the other side (& vice versa) => applies typically for TDM interfaces Failure Management Failure Correlation For Uni- and Bi-directional failures indications Failure Localization/Isolation determine if failure localized inside or outside of the non-Sonet/SDH network
