Prefix Delegation DHCP server discovery: Requesting router sends SOLICIT, with an ORO option indicating the Prefix Delegation Option, or a Prefix Request option. Includes Rapid-Commit option if two message exchange is wanted. Picks server based on received ADVERTISE messages. Delegation: Requesting router sends REQUEST message including the Prefix Delegation option received in the ADVERTISE message from the delegating router on received REPLY the requesting router can configure its downstream interfaces. Lease expiry Requesting router requests extension of lease by initiating RENEW sequence 0.5 of lease, REBIND at 0.8.
