Minutes of the AToM MIB Working Group (atommib)

The working group discussed all the documents currently under consideration:

• SONET/SDH MIB-RFC1595
• ATM MIB-RFC1695
• Supplemental ATM MIB-Internet-Draft
• ATM Textual Conventions-Internet-Draft
• ATM Tests-Internet-Draft
• ATM Accounting-Internet-Draft
  

The results were as follows:

SONET/SDH MIB RFC1595

No major new comments were made on the list. Minor polishing is necessary following other trunk MIBs and some minor issues brought up on the list. The editor is asked to produce an Internet-Draft as the basis for further processing as Draft Standard.

ATM MIB - RFC1695

This document will be amended:

• TCs are moved to the ATM-TC-MIB.
• The QoS object will be deprecated and replaced.
• The vxlConnCastType object will be added and the procedures for connection management will be adapted.
• The interface configuration parameters will be looked at.
• Some minor fixings following the list and discussion. The editor is asked to produce an Internet-Draft as the basis for further processing as Draft Standard.
  

ATM Supplemental MIB

All open issues were resolved resulting in a series of amendments including the relationship with RFC1695. Input from the ATMF M4 discussion was presented and needs further discussion on the list.

The editor is asked to produce an Internet-Draft as the basis for further processing as Proposed Standard.

ATM Textual Conventions

Following list suggestions some additional TCs will be added. The editor is asked to produce an Internet-Draft as the basis for further processing as appropriate.

ATM Tests

This document is awaiting further action by the IFMIB Working Group since it depends on the definition of a generic test MIB. Once this MIB has been published the ATM-TEST-MIB will be adapted accordingly and moved together with the generic test MIB.

ATM Accounting

Two documents are available:

• draft-ietf-atommib-acct-00.txt
• draft-ietf-kzm-atm-accounting-mib-00.txt

The merits of both specifications were discussed. Agreement was reached that both documents should be merged. The editor is asked to produce an Internet-Draft accordingly which will be further discussed on the list.
