Progress Report

The IESG and IETF have been quite active since the August IETF Meeting in Münich: 63 Protocol Actions taken, 60 Last Calls issued, 518 Internet-Drafts announced, and 63 RFCs published.

Between the IETF meetings in Münich and Washington, seven new working groups were created:

1. An Open Specification for Pretty Good Privacy (openpgp)
2. IP Performance Metrics (ippm)
3. LDAP Extension (ldapext)
4. Usenet Article Standard Update (usefor)
5. S/MIME Mail Security (smime)
6. RSVP Admission Policy (rap)
7. Schema Registration (schema)

and one working group concluded:

1. IPv6 MIB (ipv6mib)

Additionally, 63 RFC's have been published since the Münich IETF meeting in August, 1997.
