Draft PKIX Session Summary 58th IETF The PKIX WG had approximately 75 attendees at the meeting. In addition to the document status review, there were presentations on 4 current documents and two liaison presentations. WG decisions: 1.The QC document is ready for Last Call, regardless of ISO/ITU progress on resolution of issues regarding key usage extension in ISO/ITU X.509. 2.The QC document will retain its current title and obsolete RFC 3039 upon progression. 3.OCSP v1 will be revised to specify the server and client processing requirements where the client included a nonce in the request. The revised document will require servers to include the nonce in the response or return an error. Document Action Items: (1a) Tim Polk is responsible for recruiting new editors for CMP and CRMF. (1b) The new editors for these documents will be responsible for responding to IESG comments on these documents. (2) Denis Pinkas and Tom Gindin are responsible for responding to IESG comments on the Permanent Identifier draft. (3) Trevor Freeman, et al. are responsible for submitting a draft that responds to the remaining Last Call comments so that Last Call may be closed and the document can be forwarded to the ADs. (4) Stefan Santesson, et al. are responsible for submitting a new QC draft to resolve any Last Call comments. At a minimum, this will include deletion of the 1993 ASN.1 module and conversion of the ASN.1 in the body of the document to the 1988 syntax. (Last Call is currently underway.) (5) Jongwook Park, et al. are responsible for creating an "editors consensus" draft and submitting it for WG review. (6) Paul Hoffman and Steve Hanna are responsible for drafting an initial PKIX specification for comparison of international names. (7) Peter Hesse et al. are responsible for submitting a revised draft of eth path building document. This document should be ready for WG Last Call. (8) David Chadwick, et al., are responsible for submitting new drafts of the four LDAP specifications. These drafts should be complete and ready for WG Last Call. (9) Denis Pinkas, et al., is responsible for completing modifications to the AC policies Extension draft so that Last Call may be closed and the document forwarded for consideration as a standards track RFC. (10) Tim Polk is responsible for reviewing the ECC "NIST curves" draft. This draft may be forwarded as Informational or WG Last Call may be declared to support progression as a standards track document. (11) Tim Polk is responsible for preparation of an interoperability report for RFCs 3279 and 3280. (12) David Cooper, et al., is responsible for preparation of RFC 3280bis. (13) Jim Schaad, et al., is responsible for submission of a new PK Algorithms draft. This draft should be complete and ready for WG Last Call.
