Minutes of RMT WG: Brian Adamson began by reviewing the WG document readiness and proposed milestones. See slides. The milestones were presented to finalize the WG remaining charter items. The question was raised about TFMCC as an EXP and it is referred to within the NORM specification that is ready for STD track submission. Should TFMCC be moved to STD track? Comments were raised regarding deployments. Adamson stated there were active deployments of NORM and experience has been positive. Vincent Roca presented update to "draft-ietf-msec-tesla-for-alc-norm-02". See slides for details. Vincent Roca asked WG if continued direction of ASID makes sense for this document. No dissention or additional discussion was noted. Vincent indicated TESLA ID was almost complete and would be ready for last call soon. Brian Adamson mentioned that this security document is farther behind the schedule of other WG documents. He noted there needs to be work done to allow the present documents to have a solid basic security approach and that these additional approaches can be also supported. Group comments were solicited. No additional comments were raised. Vincent Roca presented overview of "draft-roca-rmt-simple-auth-for-alc-norm". See slides for details. Vincent presented the pros/cons of various auth schemes for ALC/NORM. Should this be WG item? The points were raised regarding whether there is enough inertia in MSEC or RMT to finish this work. Question was left open for further mailing list, key authors, and WG discussions. This document is now a WG item as previously planned at last meeting. Wu Yu-chun presented “Simulation of Finite Geometry LDPC Code on the Packet Erasure Channel”. See slides for details. Vincent Roca discussed the disadvantage of the block oriented FG-LDPC code and the fact that in practice we generally puncture or shorten codes, etc. The WG chair Brian Adamson asked for additional comments and any remaining issues. Raised issues and questions will be brought to the mailing list and authors for further discussion. The Chair adjourned the meeting.
