Q: ESP does not (necessarily) provide integrity protection

A: It does if you are using HMAC or another integrity protected mode

Comment: and HIP doesn't provide codepoints for non-integrity
protected modes (perhaps the spinat draft should be a 
little clearer on this point)

Q: Do we need this in an all-IPv6 world?

A: Why would we not?  This is intended to reduce the signalling
overhead of mobile networks by avoiding nodes sending
updates all at once.

STUN and TURN being discussed extensively in BEHAVE

Modified STUN requires awareness out on the net,
other demux techniques are at the receivers discretion.

RVS better in IPv6, TURN/STUN relay better for v4

Restricting SPI parameter space does require cooperation
of an IKE implementation on the same host (or at least of
PF_KEY implementation), but nevertheless this demux 
option is a local decision.

p2psip using HIP presupposes that this all works
