DKIM met Monday afternoon, 62 people attended. Main goal of the meeting was to get the ADSP and Overview documents to the start of WGLC. Each had a couple of open issues at the start of the meeting that were discussed and resolved (modulo confirmation on the list). The result was that a new rev of ADSP will be published this week. WGLC on both documents will start at that point. The deployment guide was briefly presented and work on that continues. A couple of proposals were made for new work that might require re-chartering. There was some, but not overwhelming, interest in pursuing these, but the group won't have that discussion until after the two current documents are in the hands of the IESG. Detailed minutes Thanks to Eliot for scribing. These minutes are mainly based on the jabber log for the meeting. Overview: - Tony Hansen listed the issues that are to be closed as previously announced on the list. Those are: 1498, 1553, 1554, 1555, 1557, 1558, 1560, 1562, 1563, 1564, 1565, 1566, 1567, 1568, 1569, 1575. - The issues that remained open were: 1556, 1563 Since there was no further discussion of those to date, they can also now be closed. - The meeting agreed to start WGLC on the overview. Deployment: - Needs more work - Ellen Siegel is a new author. - Will be progressed once Overview and ADSP WGLC done. ADSP: - Jim Fenton presented and summarised the changes since ssp-03 - Remaining issues were discussed: 1543: agreed to move from [FWS] to *WSP and generate an erratum for 4871 1571: authors to work with Ellen to make sure examples cover cases she raised 1575: authors will modify abstract along lines suggested 1576: records MUST start with "dkim"; state that publishers MUST NOT publish ADSP records where they don't belong and call out the dangers of wildcards (PHB voluteered to generated a matrix of the various possibilities that might form useful input to the deployment guide but is in any case worth sending to the list) 1579: concensus to not change terminology at this point - Ellen raised some issues that she had posted to the list but that hadn't gotten to the tracker (chairs: mea culpa!) Chairs will check that Ellen's issues are handled in ssp-05 or else create new issues if necessary - Authors will post ssp-05 addressing issues as per above and then we agreed to start WGLC on that. Since that's now happened we can close the above issues and proceed with WGLC. Extensions: - PHB presented his draft on x.509 cert pointers, nomail and a NULL key mechanism - Adopting some or all of these would be part of a re-chartering discussion that won't start until overview and ADSP are with the AD Other related drafts: - Murray presented his set of drafts - Similar disussion to PHBs extensions for some of this and the same conclusion (don't do re-charter discussion until current work out of the WG), though the auth-res I-D should probably progress as an independent submission for now since its fairly mature. - During discussion some other potential extensions were mentioned including reputation related ideas, but again this is only to be considered after current work is out of the WG Errata: - The topic of errata for 4871 was raised. The WG needs to give the AD feedback wrt the current list of errata. The chairs will kick that discussion on the list.
