PPSP WG meeting @IETF 91

1.Yunfei introduced the latest status of drafts in PPSP WG, and gave the conclusion of the last online techinical discussion before this IETF.The encoding type should be mandatory. 

2.Arno presented the Peer draft. 

 a) Martin asked Arno to clarify everything for the IESG reviews in a full updates version. Next chat will be on middle of Dec.

 b) Yunfei asked and Arno clarified two reasons why not using SHA-1.


3. Jinwei presented the updates of Tracker draft, the encoding type should be decided soon on the mailing list.

 a) Yunfei(Speaking individually) was fine to keep the C language description for the data format description.

 b) Martin (As the AD) asked the WG to decide the type of encoding and thus moved this draft forward, but no preference for the encoding type.

 c) It would be voted on the mailing list to decide the encoding type.


4. Lingli presented the updates of Tracker Extension draft, the encoding type should be decided soon on schedule.

a) More discussions were needed to activate the draft progress. 
 

5. Fei Song presented the usage of ppsp draft.
a) Lingli doubted the intention of the draft. It should be informational, but seemed to modify Peer and Tracker drafts. This may need more discussion on the mailing list.
   Fei replied that they were not trying to modify the Peer and Tracker drafts. Since the usage was related with both protocols, only some suggestions were shared in the draft for making them better.The gaps and limitations are found during our investigation process.

6. Martin concluded that the WG needed to make the progress of the active drafts faster. The chairs would discuss with Martin about the steps of accelerating the progress.
