    Minutes
    -------

    1. The minutes of the November 6 Teleconference were approved. Steve to
    place in public archives.

    2. The IESG re-approved Application Configuration Access Protocol
<draft-ietf-acap-spec-07.txt> as a Proposed Standard. The previous version
<draft-ietf-acap-spec-06.txt> was approved on October 9, and was on hold
waiting for the ABNF document. Steve to send announcement.

    3. The IESG approved publication of DHCP Options for Novell Directory
    Services <draft-provan-dhcp-options-dir-serv-02.txt> as a Proposed
    Standard. Steve to send announcement.

    4. The IESG approved publication of Netware/IP Domain Name and Information
    <draft-ietf-dhc-netware-options-01.txt> as a Proposed
    Standard. Steve to send announcement.

    5. The IESG opted to return PPP Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP)
<draft-ietf-pppext-eap-auth-03.txt> to the working group for additional work. Once
a revised version of the document is available, the IESG will reconsider.
Harald and the INT ADs to provide specific input to the Working Group.

    6. The IESG consensus was to return Transmission of IPv6 Packets over
    Ethernet Networks <draft-ietf-ipngwg-trans-ethernet-04.txt> and
Transmission of IPv6 Packets over FDDI Networks
<draft-ietf-ipngwg-trans-fddi-net-03.txt> to the Working Group for more
discussion on the flipping of the L/G bit. ADs to contact the WG Chairs.

    7. The IESG approved publication of OTP Extended Responses
<draft-ietf-otp-ext-05.txt> as a Proposed Standard. Steve to send
    announcement.

    8. The IESG approved publication of An Extensible Message Format for Message
Disposition Notifications <draft-ietf-receipt-mdn-07.txt> as a Proposed
    Standard. Steve to send announcement.

    9. The IESG approved publication of The TLS Protocol Version 1.0
<draft-ietf-tls-protocol-05.txt> as a Proposed Standard. Steve to send
    announcement.

    10. The IESG approved creation of the Schema Registration (schema) WG in the
    Applications Area.

    11. The IESG felt that A Legal Domain Name Allocation Method
<draft-rfced-info-vaughan-00.txt> was outside the scope of the IETF. The
IESG takes no position on whether it should be published, and suggests
that the RFC Editor consults the IANA about it. That said, it appears to
depend on constructs such as a national or international trademark
registry, which do not exist. The IESG suggests that it may not be
    feasible to implement as described.

    12. Steve was tasked with requesting an extended extension for Service
Discovery Protocol <draft-rfced-info-honton-00.txt> from the RFC Editor.

    13. The IESG tentatively approved publication of Finding Stuff-(How to
discover services) <draft-ietf-svrloc-discovery-05.txt> as an Experimental
Protocol, pending Keith's review. Steve to send announcement once Keith
    conveys his approval.

Next teleconference will be after the DC IETF Meeting.
