    DONE:

    o David Kessens, Steve Bellovin, and Alex Zinin to discuss a charter
    for a new Operations and Management Area working group for OPSEC.
    o The Secretariat to add Aaron Falk to the iesg@ietf.org mailing list
    and to teleconference participation materials.
    o Bert Wijnen to collect IESG and IANA feedback on openBSD/carp IANA
    assignments and send the collective feedback to the IAB.
    o Ted Hardie, Bill Fenner, and Thomas Narten will draft a policy on
    "placeholder" I-Ds in reference to I-D submissions prior to IETF
    meetings, and will draft words for reminders the Secretariat sends.

    IN PROGRESS:

    o Bill Fenner to determine with WG chairs whether a liaison with OIF is
    desirable, and will inform the IAB of the decision.
    o Applications ADs to evaluate the situation with regards to MIME type
    review, and see how we can ensure the review turnaround times specified
    in the MIME registration procedures.
    o Allison Mankin and Thomas Narten to compose a message for the IESG and
    IAB related to 3GPP's Release 6 publication deadline and expedited documents.
    o Harald Alvestrand to clarify what actions are needed to enforce the new
    boilerplate. August 19, 2004 is the proposed deadline for accepting
    I-Ds with old boilerplates. All I-Ds submitted after this date require
    the use of the new boilerplate.
    o Allison Mankin will encourage Dave Meyer to go forward with his I-D on
    IETF minutes, and will suggest some IESG points for it.
    o Margaret Wasserman to take the lead in drafting a description of the
    positions to be filled by the NomCom. Allison Mankin, Thomas Narten, and
    Alex Zinin will do an initial review; the document should be ready to be
    reviewed by the IESG before the next teleconference (09/02/2004).

    NEW:

    o Ted Hardie, Thomas Narten, and Bill Fenner will send the statement on
    "placeholder I-Ds" to the WG Chairs list for a quick review and then the
    IESG will send it out to the IETF community as an "IESG Statement."
    o Harald Alvestrand to suggest modified text for the standard "no problem"
    message to the RFC Editor that includes a pointer to the comments in the
    I-D Tracker.

    revision before implementation.
