There has not been, to my knowledge, much comment on it, or a WG Adoption call. There has been a few emails of support along with some recent discussion about how the documents interact. None have said it was silly or unneeded. I can renew the document, but it would be nice to know if the WG has any plans to consider adopting it. Carsten, Pascal, Gabriel are pa= rt of it. o problem is that fragmentation requires per-hop reassembly. o RFC4944 defines a fragment header. Packets are re-assembled and possibl= y fragmented again. o there is a reassembly timer that expires if a hop do not receive all fr= agments. o per hop-fragmentation and reassembly, this increases latency as the pac= ket progresses as the speed of the last fragment. o Reliability is another problem as when fragments are lost keep the memo= ry occupied for some time.
