I'm not sure what you mean by= "host a hackathon".=C2=A0 If you're
interested in having a P4 project at the Montreal Hackathon, go to the
IETF 105 Hackathon wiki
<https://trac.ietf.org/trac/i= etf/meeting/wiki/105hackathon> and add
information about your project at the bottom.=C2=A0 Then go to the
Hackathon registration page
<https://www.ietf.or= g/registration/ietf105/hackathonregistration.py>
and sign up -- and get others to do the same.

Then you all show up on Saturday and hack.

If you mean something else, please clarify, and we'll try to help.

Barry

Hi Ali,<= /span>

Remote participatio= n in the hackathon requires a bit more preparation on your part, but it is = possible, and we typically have a number of remote participants and even so= me projects that are championed remotely.

There is a small se= ction in the hackathon wiki on remote participation:

http= s://trac.ietf.org/trac/ietf/meeting/wiki/105hackathon#Remoteparticipation

In addition to regi= stering for the hackathon and signing up for the hacakthon@ietf.org list, my recom= mendation is to monitor the hackathon wiki and the hackathon list as the ha= ckathon approaches, determine which project(s) are of interest to you, and = reach out to the champions of those projects to determine how best to be involved and communicate with the res= t of the team working on each project.

Hope this helps. Ad= ditional questions are welcome.

I'm not sure what you mea= n by "host a hackathon".  If you're
interested in having a P4 project at the Montreal Hackathon, go to the
IETF 105 Hackathon wiki
<https://trac.ietf.org/trac/ietf/meeting/wiki/105hackathon<= /a>> and add
information about your project at the bottom.  Then go to the
Hackathon registration page
<
https://www.ietf.org/registration/ietf105/hackath= onregistration.py>
and sign up -- and get others to do the same.

Then you all show up on Saturday and hack.

If you mean something else, please clarify, and we'll try to help.

Remote participatio= n in the hackathon requires a bit more preparation on your part, but it is = possible, and we typically have a number of remote participants and even so= me projects that are championed remotely.

=C2=A0

There is a small se= ction in the hackathon wiki on remote participation:

https://trac.ietf.org/trac/ietf/meeting/wi= ki/105hackathon#Remoteparticipation

=C2=A0

In addition to regi= stering for the hackathon and signing up for the = hacakthon@ietf.org list, my recommendation is to monitor the hackathon = wiki and the hackathon list as the hackathon approaches, determine which pr= oject(s) are of interest to you, and reach out to the champions of those projects to determine how best to be involved and communicate with the res= t of the team working on each project.

Hope this helps. Ad= ditional questions are welcome.

Subject: [hackathon] Sponsor for the = hackaton?

Hi:

I = am the champion behind the P4 hackaton. We have had a lot of support but = in particular from a local Montreal company called = =E2=80=9CNoviflow=E2=80=9D who are getting us licenses for tools and = will send some of  their programmers to help us. So in fact they = are =E2=80=9Csponsoring=E2=80=9D our hackaton. Would there be a way to = thank them on the site? Actually this is going multi-way: as a IRTF = co-chair and long time IETF collaborator as well as a Montreal native, I = am trying to get more participation from Montreal-based companies and = academic institutions in IETF/IRTF and Noviflow is frankly my first = success story :)
