I guessing that xml2rfc is going through a list of URLs to try, and it can't see the 404 after the redirect, because it doesn't trust the redirect. So quite likely there are two issues: 1) xmlrfc should finally stop using xml.resource.org, which I thought it was going to do last time we had problems with that URL. 2) the HTTPS on xml.resource.org should have a correct cert. While I could hack my source code, the source of the 404 appears to be because I uploaded a -00 draft followed immediately by one that references it, and the reference.*xml for the -00 hadn't finished being mirrored yet. As such, the xml2rfc check that runs when I upload .xml files also fails with the same error... -- Michael Richardson , Sandelman Software Works -= IPv6 IoT consulting =- --=-=-= Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 iQEVAwUBWAirVYCLcPvd0N1lAQIJeQf+LqkeDG8tnbg6/ydcAzddRmS9hFFC2nQn x2amX7kxCte7u69Vf693RFtEoSpoCe2dsD4HzHvycyFmwTTLgjabOTBFptQzXWhr FVeI/O9tQRLTcs0acGkGFtOXKJ9vHwUbezAtgt8SddKyKth5htUh0tA+/BhylKsA HRQBED7nBqlEyq6hDu1FU5FNTB1TZ3lPUPecPWeYD4KXAfFRzqDpUrmn/Ep5STqH t0Q0TIHOeMMQnBDJyM12UrtfFPiU5PFMisYxpc8mPDHe+TX+okexlHcOt7vW/AR1 OmYV45QroGbi2J8EE+foQDC2mErRDBGJuAS//4fQYSflFGMKtkARIA== =nfHI -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-=-=-- From nobody Thu Oct 20 04:39:19 2016 Return-Path: X-Original-To: tools-discuss@ietfa.amsl.com Delivered-To: tools-discuss@ietfa.amsl.com Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by ietfa.amsl.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id AC1631298B9; Thu, 20 Oct 2016 04:39:18 -0700 (PDT) X-Virus-Scanned: amavisd-new at amsl.com X-Spam-Flag: NO X-Spam-Score: -101.9 X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, score=-101.9 tagged_above=-999 required=5 tests=[BAYES_00=-1.9, USER_IN_WHITELIST=-100] autolearn=ham autolearn_force=no Received: from mail.ietf.org ([4.31.198.44]) by localhost (ietfa.amsl.com [127.0.0.1]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id A2dibiaL1CoX; Thu, 20 Oct 2016 04:39:16 -0700 (PDT) Received: from zinfandel.tools.ietf.org (zinfandel.tools.ietf.org [IPv6:2001:1890:126c::1:2a]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256 (128/128 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by ietfa.amsl.com (Postfix) with ESMTPS id BF3A91298BD; Thu, 20 Oct 2016 04:39:16 -0700 (PDT) Received: from 81-235-150-134-no105.tbcn.telia.com ([81.235.150.134]:64370 helo=[192.168.1.120]) by zinfandel.tools.ietf.org with esmtpsa (TLS1.2:ECDHE_RSA_AES_128_GCM_SHA256:128) (Exim 4.82_1-5b7a7c0-XX) (envelope-from ) id 1bxBgp-0008LT-1r; Thu, 20 Oct 2016 04:39:16 -0700 Message-ID: <5808ACDB.9070403@levkowetz.com> Date: Thu, 20 Oct 2016 13:39:07 +0200 From: Henrik Levkowetz User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.11; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/31.8.0 MIME-Version: 1.0 To: Michael Richardson , Martin Thomson References: <32340.1476932135@obiwan.sandelman.ca> <20957.1476963160@obiwan.sandelman.ca> In-Reply-To: <20957.1476963160@obiwan.sandelman.ca> Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha256; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="MCI168nhgT7I1sOrpEdwseORMjnvKJrke" X-SA-Exim-Connect-IP: 81.235.150.134 X-SA-Exim-Rcpt-To: tools-discuss@ietf.org, ietf-action@ietf.org, martin.thomson@gmail.com, mcr+ietf@sandelman.ca X-SA-Exim-Mail-From: henrik@levkowetz.com X-SA-Exim-Version: 4.2.1 (built Mon, 26 Dec 2011 16:24:06 +0000) X-SA-Exim-Scanned: Yes (on zinfandel.tools.ietf.org) Archived-At: Cc: Glen via , "tools-discuss@ietf.org Discussion" Subject: Re: [Tools-discuss] problems with xml2rfc X-BeenThere: tools-discuss@ietf.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.17 Precedence: list List-Id: IETF Tools Discussion List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 20 Oct 2016 11:39:19 -0000 This is an OpenPGP/MIME signed message (RFC 4880 and 3156) --MCI168nhgT7I1sOrpEdwseORMjnvKJrke Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable On 2016-10-20 13:32, Michael Richardson wrote: >=20 > Martin Thomson wrote: > >> requests.exceptions.SSLError: hostname 'xml.resource.org' doesn'= t > >> match either of '*.ietf.org', 'ietf.org' >=20 > > xml2rfc.tools.ietf.org should work. The datatracker knows about 6 email addresses for Vixie, and of those, 5 are marked active. The one which is not marked active is the redbarn.o= rg address. (I think redbarn.com above is a typo). So the datatracker pick= s the primary address of the remaining 5 to send to in this case, even if t= he document mentions the redbarn address. Paul can enable and disable addresses as needed by logging in and editing= his profile information. Or alternatively, he or someone the secretariat= will trust can ask the secretariat to change things.
