FIRP Update Presented by Milo Medin/NASA Ames Research Center Biography: Milo Medin is the Chief of the Wide Area Network Services Branch, NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, California. He has been an active participant in the Internet and IETF for almost 10 years, and is responsible for (among other things) management of the NASA Science Internet, which is a large multiprotocol network serving researchers and scientists around the world. Milo Medin, along with eight other US Federal staff, comprise the Federal Internetworking Requirements Panel, which has been examining the standards making process in the US Federal Government. This report provides an update on the panel's activities and direction.
