This is a draft workshop program, subject to change through the end of 
the workshop.

# Monday 26 January

The goal for the first day is to bring everyone together for discussion 
in three broad areas: the larger picture of stack ossification 
(including the technical and economic context thereof), detailed effects 
of middlebox deployment on the problem, and transport layer details of 
the problem.

Monday's lunch will take place at FoodLab, ETH CAB (Old Chemistry 
Building).

## 14:15 - 15:30: The Role and Rule of Middleboxes

A discussion of the problem centered on the path: 

- what are the network- and service-observable impacts of middleboxes in 
the wild?
- how do these affect efforts to deploy new services? 

## 15:30 - 16:00: Coffee Break

## 16:00 - 17:45: Unbreaking Transport

A discussion of the problem centered on the transport, probably based on 
lightning talks around existing proposed solutions.

Wrapup of discussions, initial discussion of Day 2 agenda

#  Tuesday 27 January

The goal for the second day is to synthesize solutions and determine 
action items moving forward. The agenda here is more free-form, as we 
presume we'll better understand what we want to do with the second day 
after the first. The intention here is to do some initial design work, 
referring work as necessary to existing IETF WGs and IRTF RGs, 
potentially starting on charters for additional work that should be done 
in the IETF/IRTF.
