[20:47:39] <eburger> thanks.
[20:48:46] <Barry Leiba> Can you still not hear questions?
[20:48:57] <eburger> yes - when people use the mic.
[20:49:11] <Barry Leiba> There are two mics; one isn't working.
[20:49:20] <Barry Leiba> We're having them all use the one that's in use now.
[20:49:24] <eburger> Thanks.
[20:49:30] <Ted Lemon> Are the "customers" being referred to individuals or companies?
[20:51:33] <BillC> Ted: are you in the room, or should I ask the question?
[20:51:44] <Ted Lemon> I'm in the room.
[20:51:51] <BillC> ok
[20:52:06] <Ted Lemon> It just seemed like it must be a really dumb question, so I didn't feel like getting up to the ic.
[20:52:07] <Ted Lemon> mic
[20:54:20] <Dan Wing> Ted, seems to be small-medium businesses, hosting a server.
[20:54:28] <Ted Lemon> thanks.
[20:54:57] <Dan Wing> But I worry about myself, playing an online game or Skype/Facetime, , where someone injects packets just to add jitter to my access line.
[20:54:59] <eburger> Did Kathleen stop talking or did we momentarily lose audio?
[20:55:05] <eburger> (She’s back now)
[20:55:09] <Dan Wing> you must have lost audio.
[20:55:24] <Ted Lemon> I have to admit that I was hoping this BoF was going to be looking at the other side of the DDoS traffic.
[20:55:24] <eburger> “it” happens 😢
[20:56:32] <Yoav Nir> I'm wondering if "event" is well-defined enough. DDoS attacks are not a point in time. They're on going, so you're likely to have an event of "attack start" and an event of "attack stopped", or at least "load went below the threshold" or maybe some kind of high/low watermark. The attack is composed of multiple requests, each of which may be valid, so these requests are not events.

[21:00:06] <BillC> :-) I mean local …
[21:00:15] <Barry Leiba> He's in the room.
[21:00:22] <BillC> ok, thx

[21:57:20] Barry Leiba joins the room
[21:57:21] <eburger> Old ones are… old. They need to finish.
[21:57:43] <eburger> This would be a distraction to put it into an existing WG.
[21:57:56] Barry Leiba leaves the room
[22:00:34] <eburger> OK - Kathleen drove me to the Mic. Can someone channel me?
[22:01:04] <BillC> what does "channel me" mean?
[22:01:17] smemery leaves the room
[22:01:27] <eburger> Go to the Mic and say, “Eric says that it would be a distraction to put this work into an existing WG”
[22:01:57] <eburger> “The existing WG’s need to finish their work. Putting this into an existing WG will slow down that group’s work, as well as delay this work.”
