[14:30:11] <Brian Trammell reloaded> wanted to rathole on loss
[14:30:31] <Brian Trammell reloaded> wasn't going to be particularly productive, we can do it on the list :)
[14:31:24] <Bill Cerveny> Brian, OK want to talk during questions??
[14:31:28] spencerdawkins joins the room
[14:31:40] <Bill Cerveny> you were in queue then you weren't ..
[14:33:06] <Brian Trammell reloaded> we'll let other questions come up -- the basic question is how to separate TCP metrics (where RTX is a loss proxy) versus other transports such as QUIC, where they aren't.
[14:33:13] <Brian Trammell reloaded> can follow up with the authors on the list.

[15:39:42] <spencerdawkins> Amusingly, the IPPM picture of the chairs at the Dallas IETF wearing cowboy hats popped up on my Facebook feed yesterday. Is that the official chair hat? :D
[15:41:42] <spencerdawkins> FWIW, Spencer agrees with Brian about being clear about having a charter update conversation on the IPPM mailing list.
[15:42:47] <Brian Trammell reloaded> hmmmmmmm
[15:42:56] <Brian Trammell reloaded> (as individual)
[15:44:57] <spencerdawkins> There were some hums against adopting. The chairs are managing the clock, so I didn't ask this at the mike, but I wouldn't mind if the chairs asked people who hummed against to explain what they are thinking - and the mailing list could be a fine place for that, when the decision to adopt is being confirmed.
[15:45:25] Andre Beliveau leaves the room
[15:49:08] Roger Murray leaves the room
[15:49:36] <adrianfarrel> spencer, I think I made my point at the mic, which was "not never, but not yet". but i've also hintd at this on list
[15:51:07] <Brian Trammell reloaded> also (as chair), I'd like that discussion to conclude on the list before we muck about with the charter
[15:51:21] <adrianfarrel> brian talked about scoping to "tunnel ends" and that scope might make the ata forms ok, but I do not believe that this scope allows what people actually want to do with the technology. And that makes the data formats questionable
[15:52:20] <Brian Trammell reloaded> question for the room: who *will* read it?
[15:59:00] adrianfarrel leaves the room

[16:11:26] <Yaakov Stein> In support of Greg's statement, RFC 5357 says "This example eliminates the need for the TWAMP-Control protocol, and    assumes that the Session-Reflector is configured and communicates its    configuration with the Server through non-standard means."

[16:26:39] Yaakov Stein leaves the room
[16:29:02] <Vinayak Hegde> The speaker talked about meaurements. Can RIPE Atlas be used in these measurements once the framework is decided.
[16:29:30] <J. Ignacio Alvarez-Hamelin> RIPE atlas have some limitations
[16:30:00] <J. Ignacio Alvarez-Hamelin> One is about traffic, others about the kind of measurements.
[16:30:14] <Vinayak Hegde> Also I am would be interested in contributing to the drafts. TRAI which is Indian regulator recently passed a regulation regarding NN.
