[17:06:21] Mehmet joins the room
[17:06:45] <David Reid> Has the meeting started? I'm not getting any audio.
[17:07:13] <Mehmet> Hi All, I am your voice in the NETMOD session. Let me know whether any question has to be read loudly in the room.
[17:07:21] <Mehmet> Audio is working now.
[17:07:25] <David Reid> I'm getting audio fine now
[17:07:26] <Mehmet> Or?
[17:08:07] <Mehmet> Fine to hear everybody is hearing NETMOD co-chair Juergen Schoenwaelder talking right now.
[17:09:21] <Mehmet> next andy on system model.
[17:11:09] <Mehmet> slides are available at https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/81/materials.html#netconf
[17:13:40] <hardaker> I suspect you mean this: https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/81/materials.html#wg-netmod
[17:14:41] <Mehmet> it ends up on the same page, but yours is nicer ;)
[17:22:27] <hardaker> same page, yes.... just the right place.
[17:23:31] <Mehmet> correct
[17:30:25] ray_atarashi joins the room
[17:31:00] Joel Jaeggli joins the room
[17:35:43] Ilya Varlashkin joins the room
[17:41:37] <Mehmet> Anybody remote who read the document?
[17:41:52] <Mehmet> David, Chris ?
[17:41:58] <David Reid> I have not
[18:01:45] <Mehmet> BTW: Remote participants can/may also take part in the opinion polls of the co-chairs. Raise your hand if you want to state your opinion.
[18:02:50] <Ilya Varlashkin> like this - o/ ?
[18:03:23] <Ilya Varlashkin> did I get it right that current focus is on CPE configuration rather than backbone/infrastructure?
[18:08:07] Joel Jaeggli leaves the room
[18:14:39] Joel Jaeggli joins the room
[18:15:38] <Mehmet> No actually NETMOD focus is not limited to CPE configuration. See routing configuration draft.
[18:20:42] lhotka leaves the room
[18:26:30] <Ilya Varlashkin> yes, but today discussion "only IP, no ATM, no MPLS" makes it really difficult to apply to most of backbone networks
[18:28:44] <Ilya Varlashkin> is it Rudiger speaking at the mic now?
[18:28:54] <Mehmet> Well, we need to start somewhere. And routing configuration is a good start. Modules specific to technologies like MPLS will be done in the appropriate WGs and not in the NETMOD WG.
[18:29:02] <Mehmet> Yes, it is Ruediger.
[18:29:26] <Mehmet> Do you want me to forward a specific question on the mcrophone?
[18:29:36] <Mehmet> s/mc/mic/
[18:30:17] <Ilya Varlashkin> not at the moment. I'm quite new to this WG so I want to get feeling beyond what one can get just by reading drafts
[18:35:12] Joel Jaeggli leaves the room
[18:38:25] Joel Jaeggli joins the room
[18:42:55] <Mehmet> Ilya: Are you vendor or operator? Are you implementing or experimenting with YANG?
[18:46:11] <Mehmet> Now Martin Björklund on stage with "SNMP Engine Configuration"
[18:48:50] hardaker leaves the room
[18:57:14] <Ilya Varlashkin> I'm operator - AS4589
[18:57:47] <Ilya Varlashkin> we use in-house non-YANG tools to manage configs/policies
[18:58:17] Chris Newman leaves the room
[18:58:34] <Ilya Varlashkin> one fundamental question:
[18:58:39] <Mehmet> Session ended.
[18:58:40] <Ilya Varlashkin> why YANG and not XML?
[18:58:45] <Ilya Varlashkin> not for mic
[18:59:20] Atarashi Yoshifumi leaves the room
[18:59:56] <Mehmet> Send me a ping (mehmet.ersue@nsn.com) I can send you some slides.
