[21:43:35] <SM> :D
[21:44:15] <mrex-ietf> There are ways to access youtube live streams, even from Germany
[21:44:45] <Dave Crocker> There IS a direct stream via the IETF:  http://ietf90streaming.dnsalias.net/ietf/ietf902.m3u
[21:45:14] <SM> Martin is looking for pictures, Dave
[21:45:15] <Dave Crocker> It's probably higher resolution video, but of course it's not integrated in with the slides.
[21:45:21] <mrex-ietf> that is the audio stream that I'm currently listening to, Isn't it?
[21:45:39] <Dave Crocker> oh.  meetecho is slaving off of that stream?

[21:48:35] Phill joins the room
[21:48:44] <mrex-ietf> the regular audio stream on mondays plenary was buzzing extremely (amplifier clipping), while the youtube live stream had nice video and audio quality.  The audio stream is bearable tonight, but still clipping/distortion
[21:48:58] Nik Tomkinson leaves the room
[21:49:32] Klensin joins the room
[21:49:47] <Ben Kaduk> Yeah, I went to the meetecho audio stream today because the regular stream was of lesser quality

[21:54:39] <Dave Crocker> on the audio
[21:55:16] Joe Hildebrand joins the room
[21:55:55] Joe Hildebrand leaves the room
[21:56:10] <mrex-ietf> meetecho (Flash Audio&Video) has less delay than regular audio streaming.  I see slides, but no video,  audio quality is mediocre (frequent small dropouts, high compression artifacts, automuting artifacts)
[21:56:17] Vicky Risk joins the room
[21:56:53] Nik Tomkinson joins the room
[21:57:38] <Dave Crocker> clap clap clap
[21:58:02] <Tobias Gondrom> Presentation is over

[21:58:46] Lorenzo Miniero leaves the room
[21:58:54] <Eliot Lear> i think the volume is ok.

[21:59:08] Paolo Saviano joins the room

[22:09:08] <Lorenzo Miniero> so theyre not on the materials page
[22:09:14] <Lorenzo Miniero> *they're
[22:09:41] <Lorenzo Miniero> it's just a picture of his homeland though
[22:10:37] <Dave Crocker> Ack.  Sounded like there might be a series of slides.  (I'm still trying to process the idea of going from Nepal to Nebraska.)
[22:10:46] <bortzmeyer> The village of Nangi is not even in Wikipedia...
[22:11:11] <Hugo Salgado> This is the picture http://www.himanchal.org/images/mountain%20backdrop.jpg

[22:17:45] <SM> Spencer, good choice :-)
[22:18:04] <mrex-ietf> what about headsets?
[22:19:23] <mrex-ietf> a non-marginal number of folks seems to be more adept with using phone headsets that with clipping microphones to their shirt
[22:19:26] <Joe Hildebrand> anyone have a question here?
[22:19:55] adrianfarrel leaves the room

[22:21:26] satoru.kanno@jabber.org joins the room
[22:21:33] <mrex-ietf> the noises sound interesting enough that I'd be curious about a video stream. :)
[22:22:00] <Ben Kaduk> videostream isn't very helpful for that
[22:22:06] <Ben Kaduk> Try the etherpad?

[22:31:50] Dave Crocker joins the room
[22:32:02] Richard Li leaves the room
[22:32:14] <mrex-ietf> I believe our problems are *not* processes, but rather group size and "diversity" in opinion and approach, which makes convergence and consensus challenging.  Different approaches may be faster than todays IETF, simply by excluding some folks and effectively smaller groups sizes.
[22:33:40] <mrex-ietf> And the larger the group, the more beneficial a technical leadership would be.  But I'm seeing more of the opposite: beauty contests that are decided by the crowd. :-/
