[08:34:49] <bridgebot> [slack] <spt> Audio seems to be okay this morning
[08:35:16] <bridgebot> [slack] <evequefou> @spt, you've only heard the person with a dedicated microphone.  πŸ™‚
[08:36:17] <bridgebot> [slack] <spt> that is true.  Lars just dropped off there
[08:36:35] <bridgebot> [slack] <spt> I do see one in front of MartinD though
[08:48:12] <bridgebot> [slack] <spt> @mnot you're sharing your "your family" on microsoft
[08:48:29] <bridgebot> [slack] <mnot> thx - the kid wanted more screen time πŸ™‚
[08:48:36] <bridgebot> [slack] <spt> ha!

[09:19:23] <bridgebot> [slack] <spt> @dschinazi before I looked at the video I thought you were playing beer pong
[09:29:37] <bridgebot> [slack] <spt> Yeah!
[10:11:06] <bridgebot> [slack] <spt> There's only two QPACK can you start with that?
[10:11:51] <bridgebot> [slack] <spt> certainly not hard over on it by any means

[13:07:55] <bridgebot> [slack] <rmarx> We do have some slides for this later as well πŸ™‚
[13:57:17] <bridgebot> [slack] <rmarx> Potentially already asked and answered, but what's the state for QUIC/H3 in browsers? ~gQUIC server seems to come along, is that also in chromium? Apple said Safari had H3 back in Prague? What about Firefox?
[13:57:41] <bridgebot> [slack] <rmarx> If that question could be asked and the answers entered into the notes, that would be -nice-
[14:01:03] <bridgebot> [slack] <dmitri> +1 to @rmarx’s question
[14:02:35] <bridgebot> [slack] <rmarx> pleas mute Gabriel Montenegro
[14:03:01] <bridgebot> [slack] <rmarx> thanks!

[14:13:28] <bridgebot> [slack] <spt> hand up
[14:14:08] <bridgebot> [slack] <Cory Benfield> ping @mnot
[14:15:38] <bridgebot> [slack] <spt> thanks
[14:15:46] <bridgebot> [slack] <ekinnear> Scribe here: Can I get a quick recap of the second half of that?
[14:16:08] <bridgebot> [slack] <spt> Sure i'll put it in the notes
[14:16:28] <bridgebot> [slack] <ekinnear> Ah thank you!
[14:19:18] <bridgebot> [slack] <spt> @evequefou fair point
[14:21:10] <bridgebot> [slack] <mnot> Extend HSTS for QUIC?
[14:22:10] <bridgebot> [slack] <rmarx> is this also an option @mnot?
[15:00:59] <bridgebot> [slack] <rmarx> @mnot: is this a blocking issue for H3 and QUIC?
[15:01:05] <bridgebot> [slack] <rmarx> e.g., delay until HTTP WG makes decision?
[15:05:12] <bridgebot> [slack] <rmarx> @kazuho: don't cloudflare have an existing implementation of Pat Meenan's proposal? CC @lucasp
[15:05:45] <bridgebot> [slack] <rmarx> We also have running code for Pat Meenan's setup in quicker currently
[15:06:02] <bridgebot> [slack] <kazuho> I mean not what we have now, but the code that actually implements the proposal that's still TBD
[15:06:50] <bridgebot> [slack] <ghedo> Cloudflare's implementation replaces client-chosen priorities with server-chosen priorities, so it's not quite what we are looking at here
[15:07:55] <bridgebot> [slack] <rmarx> it proves the general concept? doesn't really matter whether it's server or client driven?
[15:08:13] <bridgebot> [slack] <rmarx> result should be the same if same heuristics are used?
[15:09:40] <bridgebot> [slack] <kazuho> It would be fine if the proposal turns out to be what Cloudflare has now. Because then, Cloudflare could provide metrics to figure out how hard to implement the proposal would be.
[15:10:09] <bridgebot> [slack] <kazuho> I am not asking for rapid development. I am asking for ballpark figure on how easy it would be to implement.
[15:10:47] <bridgebot> [slack] <dmitri> What agbout that browser question?
[15:10:48] <bridgebot> [slack] <spt> thanks!!!
[15:10:52] mnot leaves the room
[15:10:55] ch leaves the room
[15:10:57] <bridgebot> [slack] <dmitri> Did I miss the answer to it?
[15:11:23] <bridgebot> [slack] <rmarx> wasn't asked
[15:11:31] <bridgebot> [slack] <dmitri> tsk, tsk
[15:11:56] Mirja leaves the room
[15:11:59] <bridgebot> [slack] <rmarx> my bachelor student implemented something basic that seems to work in an afternoon
[15:12:55] <bridgebot> [slack] <ghedo> @kazuho I can't really say how much it would take in general, but it took us a few months to get the new scheme wedged into the existing NGINX HTTP/2 and HTTP/2 priorities implementation (including actually understanding what NGINX was doing), starting from scratch or adding it to other implementations might be much easier
[15:13:43] <bridgebot> [slack] <ghedo> this said, the NGINX HTTP/2 priorities implementation wasn't particularly nice to work with

[17:49:45] ch leaves the room
[19:04:51] <bridgebot> [slack] <kazuho> If the entire set of the scheme to be proposed / adopted is going to be as easy as something that can implement in the afternoon, I think that would be a good sign.
