[14:17:47] <cgundogan> In RIOT I am triggering a DIS message to request a DIO from the parent if the lifetime is near 0, but I couldn't find any reference in the RFC regarding this matter .. I wonder what the general approach would be to keep the parent up-to-date
[14:54:05] <mcr> definitely worth posting a message to the list about this question.  The document: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-zhong-roll-dis-modifications/ has some suggestions for unicast DIS messages.
