[18:06:27] <Adam Roach> RjS: I'm not sure there's anything you can do for it, but we have a buzz on the bridge, and I *think* it's coming from your extension.
[18:06:46] <eburger> I hear it to. 60 Hz (fluorescent lights?)
[18:07:45] <eburger> For everyone else on the call, please mute if not talking.
[18:09:50] <RjS> did that end the noise?
[18:09:59] <Adam Roach> Apparently not
[18:10:26] <Russ Housley> https://www.ietf.org/about/note-well.html
[18:15:40] Adam Roach has set the subject to: https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/msg/stir/oN383bfAndkQMyZ3nIkJtQ0V0Z4/?qid=74bbf668e37d6becb2d5d4ea1db3a5d2
[18:23:45] <Adam Roach> So I don't think DDoS is the thing I would worry about as much as abuse of service — I can see someone writing a PassportFS FUSE module that used whatever meager bits you can control in a passport to store arbitrary data…
[18:27:01] <Russ Housley> Adam, the signer is the only one that can abuse it, right?
[18:27:51] <Adam Roach> So, the security model here is still pretty fluid; but if the server isn't validating the signer, then there is little protection...
[18:28:26] <Adam Roach> And I think I heard a question a bit ago about whether the CPS is in the business of validating such signatures.
[18:29:18] <Adam Roach> Although the fact that they have to validate passports for the issue under discussion does mean that they need the ability to validate signatures, which reduces it to a performance issue, which I think is fine to accept.
[18:42:02] <RjS> webex' handling of pdf bites
[18:44:12] <eburger> I’m twisting my neck every slide 🙃
[18:44:30] <RjS> when I rotate them, do they rotate for you guys?
[18:44:37] <eburger> yes. they are fine
[18:49:41] <RjS> adam - do you have a working channel to ekr?
[18:49:46] <RjS> my jabber for him is not working
[18:49:50] <Adam Roach> Probably. Let me check
[18:49:58] <RjS> he needs to mute
[18:50:21] <Adam Roach> got it.
[19:20:18] <eburger> clueless notetaker here: adopt as WG item with the understanding XXXX will be clarified. What’s XXXX? THanks.
[19:21:04] <eburger> Adam?
[19:21:16] <RjS> Jon is to look for a way to not conflate this draft with the greater CNAM discussion in other fora
[19:21:20] <eburger> thanks
[19:31:50] Russ Housley leaves the room
[23:15:26] eburger leaves the room
