[08:16:28] <rdroms> outcome from OAM discussion: gather interested parties at some point to develop initial cut at requirements and architecture, for review during Friday session.
[08:17:51] <rdroms> important to get participation from those actually deploying trill...

[08:20:37] <jon.hudson> Is there a agreement in the IETF as to how a operator vs an enterprise user is defined?
[08:22:42] <narten> good question... no simple answer, I supsect. :-(
[08:24:09] <rdroms> Does it matter, much? Seems most important first step is to get participation from anyone actually running trill.
[08:24:33] <narten> IETF isn't soo good at enterprise representation. More of the operators are ISPs...
[08:26:50] <jon.hudson> In some ways it does not. Users are Users. However it was stated by a questioner that TRILL has only been deployed by Enterprise Users and Operators.
[08:30:00] <jon.hudson> sorry, meant to say and NOT operators.
[08:32:00] <rdroms> i thought that question was just because the discussion had been "operators deploying trill". Differentiation between ISP and enterprise might not be important, per se.

[08:44:38] <jon.hudson> I was just curious because off mic someone asked if it was helpful to get operator input if all deployments were actually only done by the enterprise. I being a rather new IETF participant thought "operator" included all Users and the question made me curious if I had a misunderstanding of the definition of operator.
