RFC 2916 is about to be revised

Distinguished Colleagues of ITU Study Group 2,

The IETF ENUM WG wishes to report that it has finished work on a
revision and ultimate replacement for RFC 2916 and that document
is now in IETF last call.

IETF Notice

The IETF has received a request from the Telephone Number Mapping
Working Group to consider The E.164 to URI DDDS Application (ENUM)
<draft-ietf-enum-rfc2916bis-06.txt> as a Proposed Standard.

The IETF plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits
final comments on this action. Please send any comments to the
iesg@ietf.org or ietf@ietf.org mailing lists by 2003-6-23.
