would like to inform the IETF CCAMP Working Group and the Sub-IP Area Directors
that SG 15 has consented the ASON signalling protocol Recommendations, namely:
Q.14/15 would like to thank the IETF for its help to obtain the necessary assignment of codepoints for the GMPLS-based Recommendations.
We are currently planning future ASON architectural work and related work to these Recommendations. As part of this discussion, we have identified restoration/re-routing capabilities as a future work item. We are aware that you are currently working on protection and restoration functionality as part of the Protection and Restoration Design Team activities. We look forward to co-operating with you in this area to progress this work.
