Wanted to run for an IESG position but discovered that the nominations are closed? Disappointed that you waited too long to drop your name in the hat? Well, it's your lucky day!

The NomCom has reviewed the state of nominations for the ART, Internet, and Transport Areas and determined that nominations for those slots should be reopened. This is not in any way a reflection on the quality of the current nominees, but rather their quantity. While there isn't a nominee quota to hit, having more nominees gives us some resiliency should circumstances reduce the number of nominees that the NomCom gets to consider. The Internet and Transport Areas both have a single nominee who has accepted the nomination, while the ART Area is somewhat stronger with 4 nominees who accepted their nominations. Losing any of those nominees would complicate the process for the NomCom, particularly for the Internet and Transport Areas, so we are hereby soliciting additional nominees for all three of those positions. New nominations will be taken through October 27th. Questionnaires for new nominees who accept those nominations should be submitted no later than one week after that deadline.

So, if you thought you were too late to run for a position this year, here's your chance to join in on the fun. The NomCom and the community are grateful for those who have already accepted their nominations and we welcome new nominees. Nominees may be self-nominated or be nominated by the community.
