hiaps -- Host Identification, Address and Prefix Sharing in Wi-Fi Access (hiaps)

About hiaps
English (USA)

Host identification is a problem in IPv4 when the hosts (end user
terminals) are behind a NAT box or when the communication is tunneled
such as using IPSec. Host identification is also a problem in IPv6 when
the hosts are assigned addresses from a shared prefix in the Policy for
Convergence in Fixed Mobile Convergence. In most of these scenarios, the
hosts are assumed to access the network using Wireless Local Area Networks.

The aim of the list is to discuss these issues with the goal of a common
understanding of the problem and pave the way towards solutions.
