ietf -- IETF-Discussion. This is the most general IETF mailing list, intended for discussion of technical, procedural, operational, and other topics for which no dedicated mailing lists exist.

About ietf
English (USA)

This mailing list is for general topics of discussion relating to items within the IETF community. This is a public list for the IETF community to use. Any items posted are subject to the rules of BCP 78 and BCP 79.

The IETF discussion list is meant for discussions for which a more appropriate list does not exist, such as discussions that do not fall within the scope of any working group, area, or other established list. When there is an existing venue for discussion, this should be noted and discussion should be moved there. For more information, see: https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc9245.html

To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the ietf Archives.
