1.2 IETF Progress Report

The IESG and IETF have been quite active since the December IETF Meeting in Orlando: 85 Protocol Actions taken, 71 Last Calls issued, 471 Internet-Drafts announced, and 61 RFCs published.

Between the IETF meetings in Orlando and Minneapolis, six working groups were created:

1. Media Gateway Control (megaco)
2. General Switch Management Protocol (gsmp)
3. Network Access Server Requirements (nasreq)
4. Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (aaa)
5. Instant Messaging and Presence Protocol (impp)
6. Web Replication and Caching (wrec)

and four working groups concluded:

1. Access, Searching and Indexing of Directories (asid)
2. DS1/DS3 MIB (trunkmib)
3. IP Payload Compression Protocol (ippcp)
4. Site Security Handbook (ssh)

Sixty-one RFCs have been published since the Orlando IETF meeting in December, 1998:
