RSVP Path computation request and reply messages
This draft describes extensions to RSVP-TE to support a new message type called a "Path computation" message. Two Path computation messages types: - Path computation request, - Path computation reply - To be used between a Path Computation Client (PCC) and a Path Computation Server (PCS) - PCC: PSC-LSR, TDM-LSR, LSC-LSR, FSC-LSR - PCS: an LSR, a centralized path computation tool
May be used in several contexts: - CPU intensive path computation (GMPLS) (multi-constraints, diverse route, …) - Incomplete TE LSDB (Inter-area TE, Inter-AS TE) - “UNI” like protocol CE is not in the MPLS routing domain
