DHCPv4 using Broadcast BIT

• Client always sets BROADCAST flag

• htype - 32, hlen = 0

• ‘chaddr’ is zeroed

• Always use Client-identifier

  • 4 bytes (default zeroed)
    • distinguishes mulitple IPoIB interfaces per port
    • time-stamp or QPN - client needs to remember
  • 16 bytes (GID)

• No change to DHCP Server
