Changes from vers. 08 to vers. 09 (in response to AD review) TBRPF packets are sent using UDP/IP instead of directly over IP. A UDP port number is requested from IANA. Removed checksum option from TBRPF packet header. Specified the multicast address for the TBRPF flooding mechanism to be 224.0.1.255 (currently unassigned from the "Internetwork Control Block" in the IANA IPv4 multicast address registry). Added definition of the term "proactive routing protocol". Modified Applicability Section to provide evidence that the protocol can support a few hundred nodes. Changed upper case "MAY" in overview section to lower case. Changed lower case "may" to upper case in Padding Options section. In the procedures for processing association messages, added the requirement that the sending node must be the parent for the originating node. |
