Q14 Response to CCAMP Comments on G.7713.2
Thank CCAMP for the effort and detail of their comments
To assist in the resolution of the detailed issues and to progress jointly on the use of GMPLS RSVP-TE for ASON signalling, the Q14 response
provides additional context for ASON signalling that derives from G.8080 architecture and transport business scenarios
provide more clarity to requirements that contributed to constructs in G.7713.2
described the problem statement and principles used in ITU-T and IETF with the intention of understanding what may have lead to divergence in solutions
Invite CCAMP WG to consider the points raised in the Response to further collaboration on development of ASON signalling solutions
Problem Statement
Principles used in Architecture, Requirements, and Solutions
Consequence of approach
Factors Affecting Q14/15 Signalling Approach
Topics where “convergence” can occur
Note also “draft-ong-ccamp-3473-3474-iw-01.txt” which discusses the impacts of G.7713.2 and potential interworking scenarios (to be udpated)
