Enhanced Neighbor Discovery (END) Less DAD duration When an AR finds that there is no such IP address in it’s authoritative address cache , a RA will be sent to indicate the uniqueness of the detected address. On receiving the positive reply, the MS will stop waiting and use the IP address right now. Active Work Mode Normal DAD works in a passive mode, that is, if no defending NA is received, the detected address is considered unique. In fact, there are some other possibilities, such as the solicited NS is lost, or the defending NA is lost. If it is certain that there is a reply (defending NA, or positive reply), an MS can work in a request-reply mode. This reliable mode is widely used in access protocols, such as PPP/DHCP/EAP and so on. END does not violate SeND |
