IETF-67 DTNRG DRAFT Minutes

Thursday, 0900-1130

* DTNRG has 13 active Internet Drafts. One (the architecture document) is in final review by other RG chairs headed toward being informational RFC. The bundle protocol is next in line, headed toward experimental RFC.

* DTNRG met at IETF this morning, with about 55 attendees.

* Interop testing in terminal room happened wed-thu (with 6 distinct implementations):

Langs: C++, Java, C#, C

OS: Symbian cell phone, MacOS, Linux, Win32/.net

Machines: PC, Nokia 770 PDA, Nokia cell phone

Convergence Layers: UDP, TCP

* everything interoperated with everything else

* 9 DTN hop linear network also demonstrated thru different implementations [and also across TCP/UDP]

* Two independent LTP implementations were also tested

* DTN was used in (very) northern Sweden to provide delay-tolerant Internet access to Saami reindeer herders (contact Avri Doria)

* Interop testing will continue Friday in terminal room corner (go visit!)
