Introduction and review of the agenda (Sean Turner) - Status overview (Sean Turner) - 2 docs with the RFC editor (symkeydist and multi-sign) - 1 with IESG (esscerttld) - 2 expired status, being revived (rsa-kem and cades) - Working group review of Identity Based Encryption (IBE) drafts is requested. - Russ Housley provided a presentation of AuthEnvelopedData content type, and AES-CCM (Counter with CBC-MAC) and AES-GCM (Galois Counter Mode) for use with AuthEnvelopedData. AuthEnvelopedData developed in response to a mailing list thread about a mid-90's attack on a signed and enveloped content type, that allowed attackers to remove the signature without the recipient knowing. This new content type supports authenticated encryption, without the potential for this attack. One issue remains and a straw poll will be started to gauge implementors views on it. - Sean Turner presented on Multiple Signatures Attribute. This draft was developed due to concern of an attack that could remove SignerInfo objects, and leave the relying party with only weak algorithms. The problem is solved by defining a signed attribute that points to every other SignedInfo that the signer creates. ACTIONS - Sean Turner to post slides to website. - Sean Turner to start straw poll on remaining AuthEnvelopedData issue. - Paul Hoffman to review the multiple-signatures attribute, to ensure it is clear what attacks are being protected against.
