The world post-KMART update
-----------------------------
Dave presented the slides. This is led by the routing
and security ADs, and IAB. An IETF draft will be written
and reviewed in the routing area open meeting and the SAAG
(security) open area meeting. Expect draft out before next
meeting (Minneapolis).

Routing Area Working Group Reports
----------------------------------

BFD (Dave) - All the base documents have gone thru IESG review
and being updated. MIB also being updated and will move forward soon.

CCAMP (Adrian) – Meeting 2x. CCAMP has two meetings this time.
Thursday will be Ethernet and Wavelength. Next big thing is wavelength
and they are having an adhoc meeting now (as we meet). 3 new RFCs.
9 IDs in pipeline.

FORCES (Dave) – MIB, model, and protocol spec almost done. We will be
seeking volunteers to help review so please volunteer so as to have early
review. Ross mentioned that these three will go to last call very soon,
so please review.

IDR (Dave) – Set of documents now in editors queue. MIB moving forward.
Others also.

ISIS (Chris) – We have a short agenda, one on link degradation isolation.
One big item, we pushed all our rfcs into the standards track now,
so thanks to everyone for helping.

L1VPN (Adrian) – We are close to completing l1vpn, just published 4 rfcs.
We have one more on bgp discovery, under review now. Then maybe can close the wg.

L3vpn (Danny) - Marshall and I are the new chairs. There's one document in editors
queue we are going to kill (ipsec), we need some one to edit, otherwise if no interest
we will kill. A bgp accept_own community attribute draft was discussed in idr, now
in l3vpn, and interested. If accepted, we will also last call in idr.
Multicast has been the stalemate, we are hoping to move past soon.
A new reqs draft has been forwarded and we are considering to undertake,
considering the reqs doc is more than 4 yrs old.

MANET (Ian) - Trying to clear up discusses on some documents.
Some other documents being updated. And some MIB documents.

MPLS (George) – One new rfc on ldp. Two in editors queue, including multicast.
Three new drafts introduced. Progressing others. MPLS-TP met this morning
chaired by MPLS chairs. Doing charter updates to the groups
(pwe3, mpls, ccamp,l2vpn). we have several MPLS-TP documents just input for this
meeting and we need to update, hopefully next meeting will be in better shape.

OSPF (Dave) – Did not meet. Acee did finish ospfv3, good news. So more drafts
can now move forward.

PCE (Adrian) – We just rechartered to add multipoint. Base protocol spec pcep
attracted good discusses, none show stoppers, though do need to update.
Now ready to look at other applications of pce, multilayer, multicast,
applicability to vpns (will consult with other groups).

ROLL (JP) - We are rolling. 3 became wg documents. Hope to finish at least one
more by next meeting. We'l moving fast. Ross - we will find a security expert to
help review for you.

PIM (Mike) – One draft published since last meeting. adopted a couple of new items.
PIM reliable transport and adding accounting info to PIM. Several drafts being
discussed, none were adopted yet. Had presentation from Dino on using PIM
in a LISP environment which was very interesting.
Ross - and you have a couple of drafts going thru IESG right now.

RPSEC (Dave) - A couple of drafts going to other groups. So it will go to sleep
for now as no new items.

RTGWG (Dave) - The base spec draft is going forward, presentation on multicast FRR,
alot of interest to look at that work in the wg.

SIDR (Sandy) – Number of working drafts going to completion, lots of discussion
on several drafts on the mailing list.

VRRP (Dave) - Another wg looking to close, drafts in editors queue and will be
looking to close.

Dave - Adrian and a number of chairs have mentioned about the number of drafts
in IESG getting many discusses. Maybe w/i our area we should do a better job
or maybe it is a fact of life and it's not such a big deal? No comments.
Dave - Ok so maybe not a big deal. I think it's been ok. But let us know
if you think we can be doing a better cross review.

Dave - RRG will meet on Friday. TCP-AO that's being worked in TCPM. George
wanted me to mention that MPLS-TP is across multiple groups now, post Minneapolis
hope to move documents into specific wgs.
Post-Kmart will be presented in SAAG and RTGARea as I noted earlier.

OSPFv3 as a PE-CE Routing Protocol
----------------------------------
(P. Pillay-Esnault)
Padma presented the slides.
Dave - Any opinions on what is the right home?
Yakov - No opinion. The other doc listed on the slide
(rekhter-v6-ext-communities-02) is also homeless. Also another draft which is
homeless discusses hop by hop ext communities.
Ross - idr?
Yakov - No one has asked me yet.
Ruediger - I think it should be, I can ask if needed.
Dave - Danny what do you think about having it in l3vpn?
Danny - I think it's fine in l3vpn - we'll have to ask the wg and
we'll do a cross wg last call.
Ross - Ok, so lets do it there.
Padma - We'll going to add the ability to support multiple address families
(its implicit now, we'll do explicit)
Yakov - Can we add the other docs then to l3vpn?
Dave - Fair enough.
Danny - Ok, but we need to have the authors ask the wg chairs and wg.
Dave - Fair enough.
