The chair presented the current status of the WG.

The chair asked the group about adopting draft-keranen-hip-over-hip-01
as a WG item. There was consensus to adopt it.


Topic: Moving HIP to the standards track
Discussions led by: several presenters

The plan is to move fairly quickly so that most documents can be
WGLCed as soon as at IETF 78.


Topic: Native HIP NAT Traversal
Discussions led by: Ari Keränen

When working on the main NAT traversal spec, the WG made the decision
to use STUN and TURN instead of implementing equivalent functionality
using HIP messages. Several people spoke in favour of adding that
functionality to HIP now. Discussions on the lessons learned from the
existing STUN-based NAT traversal implementations and the way forward
to follow on the list.
