Minutes of the PRECIS working group IETF 82, Taipei, Taiwan, 2011-11-15 15:25-17:00 The chairs called the session to order, reminded everyone about the IPR rules, and provided an overview of the WG status. The chairs asked the editors about the problem statement draft. Andrew Sullivan reported that there haven't been updates since the last IETF meeting. The chairs asked the editors about the framework draft. Peter Saint-Andre provided an update. There was considerable discussion around the issue of string classes. There were some other open issues, which attracted somewhat less discussion. There were discussions about the fact that having profiles of the framework would help validate and complete the framework. The chairs should try to get profiles being written. The WG turned to consideration of the mapping document. Yoshiro Yoneya provided an overview of a draft for the WG's consideration. The other co-chair Marc Blanchet called the wg to see if there was a need for a mapping document, which the result was unanimously positive. The co-chair then asked if that draft is the right document for such work and result was identical. Therefore, the document is approved as working group document. It was less clear if this document should be integrated into the framework. It is left separate for the moment, until both become more mature. There was an action for the editors of the problem statement to update that draft, so that it can go to WGLC.
