Captive Portals Bar BoF
“Captive Portals” are a continuing annoyance on many parts of the Internet. They cause various problems with applications, assume user behaviour that may not be realistic, annoy users with unpredictable (and occasionally insane) behaviour, and are generally a hack.
See a summary of what we currently think/know (and feel free to add to it).
This Bar BoF at IETF92 will discuss the problems associated with captive portals, their various uses, and potential improvements or other activities.
